What began a decade ago as a few musicians gathered around a table has grown into a vibrant, full-fledged band with its own flavor of a roda de samba, deeply rooted in tradition, yet alive with fresh energy.

Roda da Holanda is more than just music. It’s a celebration. A night where Brazilian samba brings people together in rhythm, dance, and joy. Picture this: musicians seated around a table, the audience gathered all around, clapping, singing, dancing, laughing. Suddenly, you’re not just watching a show, you’re part of it. That’s the magic of Roda da Holanda.

In the course of the years we brought this experience to unique venues like Noorderlicht, Oedipus, Pllek, Westergastheater, WesterUnie and currently at Toekomstmuziek and Podium Grounds. Each one transformed into a buzzing samba circle.

You can also find us lighting up festivals all over the Netherlands. From Holland Festival, Music Meeting, and Festival Macumba to Breda Jazz, Jazzfest Amsterdam, Dias Latinos, DÂK, ROEF, and Cultura Nova. We also bring the samba vibes to beach clubs like Woodstock ’69 (Bloemendaal) and Bodhi Beach (Zandvoort).
